For many types of blood cancer a bone marrow transplant is the only hope. Unfortunately, in the South Asian community, the odds of finding a matching donor are 1 in 20,000 or worse-- donors usually come from the same ethnic group, and not enough South Asians are registered donors. Vinay Chakravarthy is a 28 year old doctor who has been battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for several months. He desperately needs a donor within the next few weeks. Sameer Bhatia is a 31 year old entrepreneur who was diagnosed with AML a few weeks ago. Vinay, Sameer and many others need your help.

Please register at an upcoming Marrow Donor Registration drive, and please forward this information to others in the houston area.
